Kueh Bulukat, Timpan Dan Bengkang Ubi [Acehnese] - Traditional Cake Aceh
Hello stemians .., Today I want to share about some kind of traditional pastry Aceh, namely Bulukat, Timpan and Bengkang Ubi.
BULUKAT
BULUKAT is a cake made of glutinous rice and grated coconut steamed sweet, then wrapped in banana leaves to form a triangular pyramid. Bulukat has significance in society tradition Aceh. In fact, almost every ceremony or feast held in Aceh, never missed with bulukat menu offerings.
That said, the Hikayat Malem Diwa is told from generation to generation, bulukat means taking blessings and avoid the wrath of Malem Diwa figures. Since then, bulukat served at each ceremony has a specific purpose and a symbolic meaning. Besides a delicacy, also blessed food, sacred, and has a magical element. TIMPAN
TIMPAN is typical of Aceh traditional cake made of glutinous rice flour base material and bananas, on the inside by a sweet grated coconut or peanut butter and wrapped in banana leaves young (shoots bananas). For the people of Aceh timpan a cake that must serve on the day of Idul Fitri, Idul Adha and other celebrations. This has become a tradition handed down in the Acehnese people. Timpan This is one of the traditional foods are well known in Aceh. Timpan also has many variants such as sugar apple, pumpkin, etc.
BENGKANG UBI
BINGKANG UBI is a cake that has a typical cake is soft, sweet and fatty foods made from grated cassava, wheat flour, eggs, milk, sugar and salt. This cake tastes tender and very tasty. This cake is often used as a menu in celebration or festivity. As timpan This cake can also be found or sold in coffee shops are located throughout the Aceh.
