Do You Really Know Or Are You Just Being Wise?
Have you ever heard someone say something like "I don't know, I'm just being wise." You have to be careful not to take this too literally since it is usually taken in the context of a joke or a statement, but in essence the statement still holds true.
In today's life, we constantly make choices that are based on our opinions. We make decisions based on our preferences, our wants, our needs, our feelings, our fears, our dreams, and of course our greed. We tend to choose things because they fit in with what we think is right. We also tend to do things that we are afraid of. It doesn't matter if you are scared of failure or the unknown, your subconscious mind is telling you that you are better off avoiding this problem.
The truth is that you should not fear the unknown; instead you should embrace it because you can use your subconscious mind to help you make decisions that will actually help you achieve your goals. It is possible to choose the unknown as well as the known. One of my favorite quotes is from Albert Einstein; "Knowledge is power." The question now is how you decide which knowledge is actually relevant to you. When you make choices based on your opinions, you are simply choosing things according to how you feel about them.
Knowing the difference between knowing and being wise is really about deciding which type of knowledge is important to you. When you make decisions based on your opinions, you are just making choices based on how you feel about them. When you make decisions based on your facts, you are making decisions based on reality. Of course, you want your decisions to be based on facts, but it is up to you to choose how you will weigh your opinions against the actual facts. You need to be very careful when choosing which type of information is important to you.
Once you've decided which type of information is important to you, then you need to ask yourself if you can actually put this information into practice. Would you actually put it into practice? Would you honestly believe that you would be able to make a difference in your life and the lives of others if you had just made different decisions? Are you truly willing to use your brain for something? if so then you can choose the type of knowledge that is important to you and use it to your advantage. In other words, instead of thinking about the "knowing" or being wise, it is time to think about "doing."
What exactly are the tools that are essential to helping you in knowing and being wise? What tools are necessary for you to use to make decisions that will actually create a difference in your life?
First, you need to know yourself and know who you are. Secondly, you need to know your limitations; know your strengths, know your weaknesses, know what you desire, know who you are as a person and know where you want to go and how you want to get there. Third, you need to know what your strengths are, know what your talents are, know where you want to go, know what your skills are, know your abilities, and know what your weaknesses are.
Once you have these three pieces of information together, you can begin to apply them to use your knowledge. You can apply your knowledge to make choices and use your knowledge to take the right actions towards your goals and your destiny.
