3 Reasons to Stop Being a People Pleaser

in #life3 years ago

You've noticed that you can't have enough people around you who want to be your friend. They want to hang out with you, talk to you, and help you get things done in your life. You even have people who bring you coffee or take your orders when you aren't feeling like doing anything yourself. So, why is it that you aren't pulling your weight in the group dynamic? Are you a people pleaser who doesn't really want to help others succeed or be successful?

The truth is that there are some problems with how you approach people and how you deal with situations that get you on your toes and then leave you frazzled at the end of the day. One of the most common problems that people face is the fact that they can't think of a good reason to say 'no'. This means that a lot of times they are relying on the fear of saying something and having someone say, 'no' to them which keeps them from doing things that would help them be a better person. Here are 3 reasons to stop being a people pleaser:

You're Not Doing Enough The truth is that you don't have to do as much as you think that you should. It's important to give your true talents and abilities some time to develop. Don't waste your energy working on things that don't bring in the income that you need to survive. Some people try to tackle too big of a project. Focus on the smaller things that will build you a solid foundation for success.

You're Not Finding Any Answers In Your Life Success comes in many different packages. What you're giving to yourself and to others depends on how you approach life. You have to do your best to find solutions in your life instead of spending a lot of time looking for ways to avoid doing things. If you focus more on finding ways to make yourself successful, you'll be happier with what you're doing and your relationships.

You're Being Too Focused On Yourself Just because you are a great human being, doesn't mean that you should forget about helping others. People see this happening and automatically start criticizing you. If you stop and think about how much you can really benefit someone else by helping them solve a problem, you will probably change your way of thinking and be a better person.

You Can't Control Your Life Success is not something that you can control. You can't control whether or not a puppy will grow up to be a dog, or how big an ocean will stretch. However, you do have control over how you react to things in your life. If you allow yourself to be swayed by the opinions of other people more than you trust your own judgments, you will never be able to stop being a people pleaser.
