Lamborghini's new supercar is not legal to drive on public roads
Lamborghini has already unveiled its new super sports car, known as the Essenza SCV12, which owners will not be able to legally drive on city streets.
The hypercar now features an SCV12 engine that is the automaker's most powerful V12 to date. This engine is capable of producing up to 830 naturally aspirated horsepower (hp).
So if you buy one, Lamborghini recommends that you let the company store it in a special garage at the company's headquarters in Italy. Owners will have access to a secure webcam feed so they can look at the car whenever they want.
If you ever want to drive the super sports car, the automaker will arrange for it to be transported to almost any race track in the world and the owner will be able to drive you there.
The manufacturer explains that Essenza SCV12 customers will become part of an exclusive club that will give them access to special programs to drive their hypercar on the most prestigious circuits in the world.
Maurizio Reggiani, technical director of Automobili Lamborghini, said in a statement: “Essenza SCV12 is the highest expression of the naturally aspirated V12 engine, the symbol of our brand since 1963. It is a project in which we combine the search for perfection of Engineered with refined aerodynamics, futuristic design, and innovative solutions such as carbon monocoque without internal roll cage. The result is an uncompromising and uncompromising car, born to compete and showcase the features that have made Lamborghini famous around the world, guaranteeing unique and special emotions for both the driver and the spectators. ”
The company also plans to host some special events throughout the year to allow Essenza SCV12 owners to get together and enjoy their cars in a group.
