The Beginning of Everything

It's been a few days since my account for this website got approved. It has also been days that I've been mulling over what to write for my first ever post here. I've thought of one topic to another, decided on one thing, changed my mind several times, and finally settled on writing about myself. Don't worry, this isn't a vanity post cause honestly you won't get much information about me from this. Think more of it as an introduction of the writer you might be following from here onwards (kidding on this one, of course).

I guess I'll start with my name. I go by the name Loyd. It's my second name actually and I know it seems more appropriate for a guy but I'm 100% a girl. I'm young but not too young to be called naive or inexperienced. I have a son with a Chinese name but I'm not Chinese. I'm in a relationship (6 years whoohoo) but not married... yet. I'm currently working overseas, somewhere it's 90% summer and 10% winter throughout the year.

I'm an avid reader or was - until I got to college and then came work, and it suddenly felt like I no longer have the time. It's sad, really. I still have tons of epub in phone but I don't get to open them that much. I like to sing but my voice isn't The Voice or X Factor material. It's good enough for the bathroom and choirs though. I've actually been part of a choir from grade school to college. I'm a soprano.

I like to picture out scenarios in my head and then write about them. I became a fan fiction writer because of that. I used to dream about becoming a best-selling author but I don't think I really have the skills for that. Soon I forgot about writing and focused on work and being an adult.

Now I'm back to what I love doing. I feel like someone who woke up from a coma and is trying to learn how to walk again. Everything feels unfamiliar but I know it will come back to me eventually. I like to be random so my posts will most likely reflect that. I hope you will have the patience for that. If you don't, no worries. Being able to write and express myself is the main purpose of this account, getting people to appreciate what I wrote is just a great bonus. :)
