My name is peter-imoisili osekhuemen, i am 20 years old and I came from a family of eight and I am the fourth. I am from Nigeria 🇳🇬, benin city to be precise. Am a student of UNIBEN. I joined steemit in the month of June 2020. I entered steemit through a seminar hosted by Young Friends Of The Earth Nigeria/Environmental Rights Action(YOFEN/ERA). The speaker mentioned steemit in his teaching and i researched about steemit.
Initially, I don’t know anything about cryptos I have heard of it but have not engaged in it. But since I joined steemit I started seeing discussions about crypto which was interesting and i decided to learn through reliable sources before the crypto academy. I believe that am properly educated in the crypto world as I can now trade on exchange, with some techniques I learnt from my crypto Academy professors.
My experience on steem is quite fascinating, honestly speaking I have used a year to surf the steemit network without guidance on how to steemit. I lacked a mentor. I was continuously going off the internet and coming back because of my exams. Whenever I return, I will meet an update of the latest activities going on in the platform through
@steemitblog account. I was going to take advantage of an opportunity, It was there I discovered that I had not completed my achievement program and it was one of the requirements. Now am a pro verified newcomer and am with the greeter fairy, even if I have not been labeled yet.
The crypto Academy refreshed my writing skills, sometimes the professor will rate me on styling and use of markdown as I was not well vast on that area they suggest that I should go back and restudy the use of markdown, which I did and now am good at styling my post and formatting too. I got some pretty good grades in my crypto academy beginners post. I have time limitations as a student, so I was only doing the beginners post anytime am chance because it does not expire. But the others do expire, before I will prepare my post, if already a new week so I did not bother myself to always do the weekly homework. But I do attend the classes though.
a description of why you think you would be suitable to become a Steemit Crypto Promoter, and what other social platforms you actively use (no more than 250 words)
Before my university life, I was a social media analyst and a promoter. I enrolled an online class with Alison to improve my knowledge on promotion. But since I enters the University, I dropped my promotion title and faced my studies. As a fresher in school, I though is making a good decision but I wasn’t. I lost my Facebook promotion account to scammers which I didn’t try to get back. I was inactive on twitter and my followers dropped. I have not search for my instagram account yet!. I was only active on WhatsApp and discord, where WhatsApp is the favourite social media app in Nigeria.
All this was the outcome of my bad decision. But recently, maybe 2weeks ago, I started waking up my promotion skills. I started using twitter again and am on telegram. I am currently working on a [WhatsApp class](

Like I said earlier, am already promoting steemit in my country through WhatsApp (the most popular social media in Nigeria). Am hosting a [free steemit class](

I will recover my Instagram account and design banners on canva and display it in all the social media handle I own e.g WhatsApp, Twitter, telegram and Instagram. I could even do a YouTube video for the cause but that’s not a promise. I can also do a physical promotion, but I don’t know how people from community will take interest in it as they are afraid of summers. Online is surely the best option for promotion in my opinion.
