EPISODE ONE

Good day my dear steemians. I bring to you a story titled intoxication, i got the inspiration to write this story this morning. I hope you will enjoy it
He dotted his last 'I' and crossed his T's as he closed his paper to submit. He looked back, stared at his friend's direction for a while and shouted, Finally at last! It seemed he was the only Student that had a smile on his face during the exam afterall.
Dennis was the best Student in his department who just concluded his first semester examination in the institution of learning called UNIBEN. Everyone that has ever been privileged to access his smartness will attest that his scholarly skills did not come from below but above!
They had only concluded their last paper for the first semester and it turned out that he was the only one that wrote well. Something not very strange in every institution had happened during the paper, their Chemistry lecturer had decided to surprise the whole department with topics he never taught! "How can a man be as Wicked as Mr Philip to have brought what he never taught!' Exclaimed Chinaza who held her pen for over two hours without putting down anything on paper. It was obvious that the whole department was heated up with sweats that gushed out like a river as a result of the toughness of Mr. Philip's paper.
A 30 minutes and 2hours was already over and everyone had been told to submit their papers. Dennis came out, clapped his friends, except Fabian who was madly angry with him for not answering him during the exam, even though Dennis was aware that he practically wrote nothing. "You ought to know by now that Dennis is the eye of the department and as such, he could do anything for you, except teaching you under exam conditions, that has always been his principles anyway." Pius said as he folded his practical materials into his bag.
"I am very sorry bro, there was nothing I could have done under that closing marking that those invigilators gave me". Dennis being the calm, cool and mild guy he was, apologized to Fabian as he tried to shake hands with him once more. His face was innocent and his height was attractive, infact Dennis was what a typical Nigerian girl could call 'a full spec'!
At last, Dennis' friends recommended to go to a nearby bar situated directly at the University's maingate for a chill. Everybody ordered an alcoholic bottle of Heineken, except Dennis who requested for a bottle of Malt. Yes! Dennis came from a very strong Christian background who has been taught from childhood that the act of taking alcohol is not the way of the "Lord and heavens".
Dennis was half way taking his bottled malt when he excused himself to receive a phone call that lasted for 20 minutes. He came back, opened his half way drink, sipped a little and relaxed his back saying. "Guys, I am sorry, it was actually my mum that called me and I think I should be going home first thing tomorrow morning for the short break". All his friends said"No problem" with a smile that looks as if each of them had just seen a beautiful princess coming back from a village stream.
It was not later than one hour at the bar that Dennis attitude suddenly changed, he started talking out of point, he opposed every point raised by his three friends. And what was next, a fight started between Dennis and Andrew over whose team has the best player in England.
Dennis anger went over the roof, he dared Andrew to say that Liverpool has the best players in England. Andrew who thought it was still their normal jocular routine repeated his statement by affirming that Liverpool is the only team that has valid players.
At this point, Dennis rose in fury, grabbed the finished bottle of Heineken before him and hit Andrew in his skull. Andrew fell, leaving his innocent blood to protest freely out from his head into the tiny lines on the floor.
Everyone was surprised, Dennis had never behaved that way for any reason. He was a church boy whose response was always "God Bless You!
Nobody could barely explain what happened to his sense of reasoning! All they know was; he has killed a man halfway! The message was clear and obvious, Dennis was not acting on his own impulse, someone had laced his drink with a very hard drug while he was away for his 20 minutes call. Dennis was shaking as he saw Andrew stretched his two legs like an unfortunate rat, Andrew gave a deep breath and stretched out.
The restaurant security personnels came to the scene, rushed Andrew into their emergency van and at the same time, Dennis was arrested. The story of Dennis began when people realized that a first class student and one of the most strongest Christian on campus is inn for a deep mess!
