It is a story with a happy ending because they escaped, what I ask Australians here is, if we let this insanity take hold, where are we going to escape to?

This whole political correctness thing has reached new levels of the absurd. What shall be rename next, oh I know hair! Who can come up with a new politically correct name so that baldies (ouch) won't be offended.
I try to laugh most of it off, but truth be told it is becoming less of a joke and more of a concern these days.
What happened to common sense in this crazy world of ours?
I read some of your recent posts (eluding to your age), it must be frustrating to witness the tremendous rate of change in the world and from this comment, I get the feeling it is not change for the better. I'm a little bit younger, but not that young that I can't see the big picture. I think common sense has become sense that is for the "common good" in stead of sense that happens to be common knowledge, haha.
It seems the goal in life is to acquire what resources and mentality is necessary, to live independently (at least foe a little while) of the next generations paradigm.
Your post about your grand father "knocked it out of the ball park" so to speak, congratulations. I guess that is why we are truly here;). I liked your poem to and I have subscribed.

Thanks so much for reading my posts. Yes I am apprehensive of our future as a species but I am hoping that clearer minds will prevail. There is so much potential for good in man, we can solve the problems that we face if people take a step back and realise just how dangerous things are getting. When I see entrepreneurs like Elon Musk ignoring the nay-sayers and getting on with the job, I see a glimpse of blue through the clouds. As for old, well I will be 70 this year going on 21. :)
I used to be a bit of lefty when I was younger, but nothing like we see today. I changed because I educated myself, I pursued the thinking of Marx until it became unequivocally obvious how insidious it was, hence why my posts are opposing postmodernism.
I think this is what happened, we were prevented from having a rounded education on these political ideologies. I guess the current struggle between thesis and antithesis may form synthesis in our lifetime. I was hoping to be dead or at least old enough not to care.
My change was heavily influenced by an old Polish guy, mechanical engineer, I used to work with. He was old enough to remember the aftermath of WWII. He encouraged me to just look at history in another way and painfully I did this. I remember thinking what a nut job he was and then gradually realising that evidence shows he was right.
But you will never be able to get objective look at history from school. That is why I'll home school my kids. You may have read this post, but this scares me, where in Sweden the state will take your child if you want to home school. This is why I think the problem is education. Because they want full control over education.

When I see the standard of education in South Africa and what the children are being taught, I am really happy that I don't have any in school anymore. At least as things stand now home schooling is possible but who knows what the future will bring.
Don't worry, soon our blokes will be leaving Pucka and right to the front lines, defending Australia from those who fraudulently gave The Pledge at their Citizenship Ceremony.
So, no matter how much we may be mocking things now, the time when reality shall hit probably isn't all that far away.
God help us all, I swear, all our kids should be taught The Pledge from day 1 of prep/kindie.
