What they Don't Mention
Fossil fuels can't compete due to government subsidies, when the subsidies are gradually wound back, electricity will become unaffordable and inaccessible to some. Alternatively you will have to pay more tax to help subsidise it, or probably both.
Australians only love solar to mitigate against rising electricity prices, why are the prices rising? Because of the move to renewable energy.
They talk about affordable "$" yet South Australia has proven that this is not the case as prices increase beyond the reach of the most vulnerable in society.
They do mention that it must be done at "any cost", this should tip you off. Authoritarians don't give a fuck about those who can't afford it. They only care about how much of your money they can appropriate for their agendas.
Australia, invest in your own localised (decentralised) generation of electricity for your own good. Those that can do this will be glad they did. Batteries and a genset to feed into your system. Especially if you are in a cold part of Australia.

thanks for sharing, not living in Australia I was really suprised in watching yr video, untill today I tought Austrialia was a leader in innovative resources and I hope you will find the way to manage it wihtout revamping old carbon plant ...

Renewables will ruin Australia's economy and make poor Australians poorer.
Mate, with interest rates edging up and electricity sky rocketing. People like me (unemployed/studying) are on the brink, ill lose the little I have. But inner city liberals dont give a ratz ass about that.
The poorest will get hit the hardest, and you're spot on. The inner-city lattè lefties won't notice because they're all on high paying government jobs.
Get yourself a genset and some panels if you can afford it.
