In my eyes this is one of the most beautiful descriptions about travelling. But even today only a few travel, even though they spend a lot of time in airplanes, buses or trains. It's not travelling if you book a holiday package and spend the whole time at the pool. This is only the step shortly before the burnout...because one simply needs peace and quiet.
Travelling should form and expand the mind in his point of view.
It has no education to lie at the pool and sip cocktails.
Travelling should teach other cultures, countries and habits. So that we can think outside the box instead of staying in a limited thinking box.
Travel can be a good teacher in life.

A meu ver, esta é uma das mais belas descrições sobre viagens. Mas ainda hoje são poucas as viagens, apesar de passarem muito tempo em aviões, autocarros ou comboios. Não é viajar se você reservar um pacote de férias e passar o tempo todo na piscina. Este é apenas o passo pouco antes do esgotamento... porque basta ter paz e sossego.
Viajar deve formar e expandir a mente no seu ponto de vista.
Não tem educação para se deitar na piscina e beber cocktails.
Viajar deve ensinar outras culturas, países e hábitos. Para que possamos pensar fora da caixa em vez de ficarmos numa caixa de pensamento limitada.
Viajar pode ser um bom professor na vida.

Das ist in meinen Augen einer der schönsten Beschreibungen über das reisen. Doch selbst in der heutigen Zeit reisen nur wenige, obgleich diese viel im Flugzeug, Bus oder Bahn verbringen. Es ist kein Reisen, wenn man sich einen pauschal Urlaub bucht und die ganze Zeit am Pool verbringt. Das ist lediglich die Stufe kurz vor dem Burnout...denn man braucht einfach Ruhe.
Reisen soll bilden und den Verstand in seiner Sichtweise erweitern.
Es hat keine Bildung am pool zu liegen und Cocktail zu schlürfen.
Reisen soll und andere Kulturen, Länder und Gewohnheiten lehren. Damit wir über den Tellerrand blicken statt in einer eingeachränkten Denk-Box zu verweilen.
Reisen kann ein guter Lehrer im Leben sein.
