Public Enemies (2009) by Michael Mann (REVIEW)
I am not much of a fan of those police vs criminals movies, but this one got me good and I have watched it a few years ago, till today I still have a strong impression from the movie.
The movie is about the early days of the FBI force in the United States, it describes how smooth and how wild the criminal was back then, robbing banks like in those wild west movies with those cowboys of thievery.
We have a chance to see Johnny Depp in a somehow normal role since all of his movies are with weirdo characters and I really don't mind that because he is great in all of them. But here, he is playing John Dillinger who is a badass thief who robs banks and everything else.
The battle will begin between John Dillinger and a young cop who wants to prove to the police officers that he is a good cop and that he will stop John robbing phase. The young policeman is called Melvin Purvis and it's played by another great actor, Christian Bale.
