Hidden (2009) by Pål Øie (REVIEW)
Hidden is a Norwegian psychological horror movie. Kai Kos returns to his hometown to document documents about his mother's recent death. Because of the unrest that Kai feels in his birthplace and the desire to go as soon as possible, it immediately becomes clear that Kai brings bad memories of childhood.
Memories made mainly due to the complex relationship with the parent. And in 19 years, Kai still can not reconcile with the events that had driven him out of his own home. Sick memories come to the surface and the decayed house again "comes alive."
There are several reasons why I would recommend Hidden. Above all because of the full atmosphere and eerie characteristic of the Scandinavian horrors.
Also, a metaphor is used skillfully to present the events that have taken place, and still occur in and around the house. The soundtrack, acting, scenery and cinematography are wonderful and only complement tension and tension.
