Success - When You Tell the Truth it Becomes a Part of Your Personality

Sometimes when we are facing a problem we tend to become defensive and tell only part of the whole story. Even when you tell the truth it becomes part of your past. You might say something like, I didn't do that, but my boss says so. This can become a problem when you want to get ahead in life. If you start to see only part of the story and not the whole, this will have an effect on how you see yourself.


Some people will lie because they don't want to lose someone. They might have an anger problem or they might be afraid of looking foolish. Whatever the reason they may not be totally honest with you. But sooner or later they will become caught so you need to find out exactly what they are hiding.

The other problem you will face is when you tell the truth and you become the victim. You might be put down in front of your peers or even your boss. You may feel stupid or ashamed for lying and this will have an effect on your confidence. You will begin to avoid situations where you might have to lie. This can lead to a personality disorder.

Another problem you will face when you decide to tell the truth is when you think it is going to make you feel better. Everyone lies at some point in their lives. It is human nature to want to feel better about ourselves. When we are lying the only thing we are feeling is sadness or fear. We may even feel guilty about it. So the temptation to fib is very real.

But if you tell the truth then you won't have any need to lie. Your truth will become your best asset. You will become more loyal, trustworthy and caring. Your employer and friends will respect you more because you are upfront with them. If you trust yourself then others will do the same. When you have earned that trust then your work will be easier and your life will be more enjoyable.

In your mind you will always believe that you are being truthful. But this isn't really true. The truth is somewhere in between. When you tell the truth it becomes a part of you but not necessarily all the time.

Sometimes the truth will embarrass you. For example if you are in a meeting and someone asks you a question that you don't know the answer to then you have to go and ask them. This will become embarrassing for you but the truth is that you have to do it. You can't just sit there and expect people to know what you are supposed to be doing. When you are being dishonest or misleading you will see that people are not trusting you.

When you lie it doesn't change anything. Your partner or family members will not see the difference between what you are doing and what you say. They won't see that you have become dishonest. When you have a genuine interest in others then the truth becomes very important.

When you want to be successful in your job or business then the truth becomes even more important. If you are seen as honest and upright then your work will improve. There are so many benefits that come from making the truth a priority. When you keep it at the forefront of your mind then you will be very successful in your life.

When you are talking to someone and they ask you a question that you don't know the answer to then you should answer with the truth. This will help them to feel comfortable that they are not the only one that doesn't know the answer. If you have an opportunity to help someone else then you should jump at the chance. It is far better to let them have the last word on something than to try and convince them of what you think they already know.


When you tell the truth it becomes a part of your character. If you are always lying or changing the truth it will show in your face. If you don't care if what you are saying is true then your character will be lying also. When you act according to reality instead of your feelings then people will respect you and see you as a person that knows what they are talking about. When you can do this it will lead to success.
