Don't Make Excuses - Use Your Mind to Become Successful

"Don't make excuses". I heard this as a child, and I remember thinking; 'Oh my God, don't make excuses'.

I knew exactly what it meant, that I didn't have to make something for myself because of the circumstances, so I just said; 'Oh OK', and went on living. I've tried to do this since then, and to tell you honestly, I wish I could go back.


Now, there is one thing you must do, if you really want to be a successful person in life; and that's to get out of your shell and take charge of your life. And that's not just say take control, because the more you can control your environment, your decisions, your attitude and your thinking the better you will be.

It is also important to get rid of excuses and set goals for yourself. This will give you a direction to go in and will enable you to build up your self esteem.

By making your own life, you will realise that you are your own person. You may not know how to create your own life but when you get stuck with an issue, your mind can create its own ways to get out of it.

If you want to learn how to do it, start by asking people who have already achieved it or at least achieve it within their own lives. By reading what other people say, you will get a sense of the way people think.

So you have to be very open minded, it won't happen in a second, because you will realise that some things will always be right and others may have to be left. In doing so, you will gain some wisdom, which is important in order to be an effective leader.

When you do get out of your shell and do your homework, you will find that you can achieve almost anything you want, and the best part is that it's all achieved by using your mind. Remember, you don't have to be in school or at work, you can do it from your own home.

The most important step is to make sure you get support from those around you, because without that you will be alone and have no one to turn to when you feel you don't belong or don't understand what you are going through. That's why you have to read books and listen to courses that will help you.

Your family and friends will give you the motivation and support you need. If they understand you, they'll become your role model. Your family members will help you if they don't understand you, and they will encourage you to do what you want to do and become successful at it.

By having your family and friends as role models, you will be a good example to them. They will see how you think, how you feel, how you interact and they will be able to see how you act.

Your friends and family will be like your advocates, giving you encouragement and understanding. If you want to become successful, you have to make sure you listen to their advice and guidance because it is very important.

If you're like me, and like most people, you probably have some type of social media in your home, whether it be Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc. I suggest you make a habit of using these sites.

You can set goals for yourself to use the sites for, such as reaching 200 friends, getting one new person to join your group, etc. As you do this, you will learn new ways to interact with other people.

Another thing you can do is to use Facebook to start a business. It doesn't have to be a successful business, but something that you are passionate about and that you feel you can achieve. It's an excellent way to network and meet new people and make friends that you could help to build your business with.


Lastly, make sure you keep yourself motivated. You have to remind yourself how good you are, what you have accomplished and how much success you have achieved, because that's what keeps you going.
