And it came to pass: The Abuja first Steemit Mega Conference
Finally, it became a successful day as the Steemit event organized by @xpency together with @chiama, @anjiba and @jacobite came to pass at Ibi center, Discovery Mall, Abuja on Saturday, 17th Feb 2018.

I had to take a 4-hour journey with @jingis07 from Nasarawa state to Abuja to be part of this great event. And believe me I wasn't disappointed one bit. From meeting the Steemit Missionary @ejemai, to hearing the airclinic boss @nairadaddy spoke on adding value to the community, made the day a beautiful and rewarding one.

I learned a lot from the lectures by the many invited guest speakers. @ehiboss who ran an introduction to Steemit and blockchain technology for novice. @michealcy talked about doing what you are passionate about. He also talked on SMTs and Appics, and how it will help shape the future. I remember @gbenga lecture very well because he spoke on the very tiny foundation of any community and that is building relationships. @destinysaid spoke on Steemit extensions like Zappl, Dtube, etc. He encouraged participants to find their niche and and utilized the different platforms on the Steem blockchain. Lots of talk by @fisteganos, @caswency, and the MC of the event @mediahouseent. But in all I picked it that to be successful on Steemit, you have to be unique, creative and also believe in yourself while not looking down on anyone.

After the lectures, we had some refreshments and some shots too. I used the time to connects with lots of other members of the Steemit community. Am really grateful to @xpency and crew for organizing this event. I had discussed this meetup with @xpency now for over a month, am really glad this was a success story. Also special thanks to @surfyogi who I learned helped in sponsoring the events. I love the energy he puts into ensuring that this platform grows and last. In all, it was an event am glad I did not miss for anything. Thanks to all the speaker at the events. I learned a lot yesterday and will transfer the knowledge gain to my different trainee groups. Love you all.
