Do not fear God is with you
Tired pilgrim, you have seen yourself walking as a foreigner on this earth, you have felt in your heart, that you walk in one direction, while the rest of the world around you, goes in another opposite direction, but you simply continue. You have seen yourself walking through great valleys of shadows and death, you have suffered and you have cried, you have felt that your heart faints before the storms and mountains of adversity that rise up against you. And when you think that everything is over, that you have already been tested enough, when you have said, I have graduated from the school of suffering and the school of pain, you hear a voice that says to you, I am not finished with you, I am perfecting my work.
Being persuaded of this, that he who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1: 6
For this beloved pilgrim looks up to heaven, and, looking at Jesus, advances triumphantly, with faith at the highest level, knowing that the author of this story, is the same as did the majesty of the heights, creating the stars and he has each put his name. Such is his power. Therefore, do not fear, because there is great consolation for you. Do not fear because there is one who suffered and suffered the cross for you.
Now, thus says the Lord, your Creator, O Jacob, and your Maker, O Israel: Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I named you, you are mine. 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and if by the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you pass through the fire, you will not be burned, nor will the flame burn in you. 3 For I the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, am your Savior; I have given Egypt for your ransom, to Ethiopia and to Sheba for you. 4 Because in my eyes you were very esteemed, you were honorable, and I loved you; I will give men for you, and nations for your life. Isaiah 43: 1-4
And this is the promise that he has given us, that of being with us, at every moment, at every minute. Although the guardian of the hours will not let you through, feeling that time has stopped, and in your solitude room you find yourself, isolated and thoughtful, remember that the Lord is with you in there. Closer than your gaze, even closer than the air you breathe, even closer than every beat of your heart, only trust, and in the challenge between faith and fear, let the battle win the faith, surrendering your life to the sovereign grace of God.
Because everything that is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has defeated the world, our faith. 1 John 5: 4
