Earthquake 4.3 SR Occurred in Pati Central Java

Jakarta - An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale (SR) rocked Pati, Central Java. The earthquake does not have the potential to generate tsunami waves.

Based on information from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) site, the quake occurred at 05.47 WIB. The epicenter was reported at coordinates 6.42 South Latitude (LS) -111, 07 East Longitude (BT).

The point of the earthquake was at sea at a depth of 12 kilometers. The epicenter was located 36 kilometers northeast of Pati. The earthquake was also felt to the district of Jepara.

There have been no reports of casualties and damage caused by this incident.
