Reptilian Rider Revisited - Phase 2
So I had some time after work this evening to work a little more on this traditional piece. I used acrylic burnt umber to start my under painting. I am really trying to take my time with this one.
One thing I have learned in taking my time is to allow some white to shine through the underpainting. I like the way it looks and it helps to indicate where highlights could end up.
I still have a ways to go, but so far I am happy with it. Taking my time will hopefully pay off.

And fix it digitally if something goes terribly wrong?
Maybe... but i plan on using oils and that can actually be very forgiving.

Do it. Just start by doing 1 doodle a day. I personally spent 2 hours everyday drawing and painting for 5 years. This was one of the first things i drew.
I've grown a lot and it was just practice. This drawing was from 2012 i think.
