France and Germany on Thursday (18/1) plan to make a joint proposal to set bitcoin in a meeting of finance ministers of the G20 countries in March.
"We have the same problem and are planning to set the bitcoin," French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire told a joint news conference with his German counterpart Peter Altmaier.
Le Maire commissioned the former Deputy Governor of Bank of France to submit a proposal.
The group of 20 member states, created during the financial crisis of 2008, has focused on the global economy.
Altmaier said, "We are responsible to our citizens to explain the risks and reduce those risks with the required regulations."
Their pledge made the rule come a day after bitcoin values fell sharply, to the level of 10 thousand dollars for the first time since November after Chinese and South Korean authorities banned the crypto currency
