We know that the stage of childhood, in general, children are like a blank canvas, which has to give color and shape to the art you want to achieve. For this reason, it is valuable to take advantage when they are children, to absorb information about the value of unconditional love for the country or city where they live.

There are many values ​​that are paramount to life, such as tolerance, respect, love, obedience, responsibility, and solidarity. However, there is a value that is not given due importance and must be taken into account, as it promotes adults with commitments as citizens, as well as the respect that must be given to the nation.

This value is Patriotism, which represents that feeling of love and pride that links a person with his or her homeland.

This feeling is formed in childhood and makes it comply with the values, culture, history, and customs of the country.

How is this value promoted?
• Tell the story, heroes, famous people, customs, typical foods and attractive places in the area where you live and the country to which they belong.
• Remember the traditional festivals, such as their date, how they are celebrated and the typical dances.
• Organize visits to national museums or historical sites in the area.
• Educate about respecting the rules of the community or public places.
• Instruct on the cleanliness and order of the country or city, such as not littering, caring for plants and animals.
• Continuously displays national symbols.
• Organize activities where they speak relevant information of each state that is part of the country where they live.

How do we apply patriotism?
• Singing the national anthem and placing the flag.
• Support our country in the activities that participate in sports, competitions or festivals.
• Work with responsibility and passion for activities that take them to take care of it, defend it and show the best of it to other countries.

Activities in classes:
In view of the critical situation that crosses the country where I live, began a day of awareness and reactivation of "Love for our country Venezuela."

On several occasions, these activities are carried out by a group of teachers, with the guarantee that what is taught in the classroom remains as a seed in the heart of each child. All my colleagues educate with passion and with the certainty that in the future, we will see the fruits of this sowing.

The teaching consisted in reinforcing the value of Patriotism, instructing them about the wonders of our country, the patriotic symbols, our culture, the riches and, above all, that they learn to love the Flag.

The activity was directed with the construction of a large flag, with the colors yellow, blue and red. Then, the children were asked to stand, so that they could locate their eight stars, where they were taught about national symbols and they were also instructed on the importance of the words we say for our nation since many of these Children repeat negative words, which they hear from their parents and relatives.

The meaning of this dynamic is to show love for the nation, which would be a blessing in every home, because they will be spokespersons for good words, helping to change their representatives in any negative word, that is said for the country that saw them grow.

In addition, they were shown a video about the wonders we have in each of the states that make up our Venezuela, such as rivers, beaches, mountains, jungles, savannas, mountains and riches such as gold, diamonds, bronze, oil, gas and many more.

And finally, each child was asked to read a prayer, so that they would learn to bless our land and begin to value and love it more, turning them into grateful future adults, who act for the welfare of the nation with honesty and dignity.

Dear teacher, the work that each one does in the classrooms is fundamental to contribute to the change in a country or nation. I invite you to be part of this project, to sow this seed of love in future generations, achieving a true long-term change in the community, city or country where they live.
