A rainy day in Paris

This charming painting was done by one of my students -it was done in acrylics on canvas and in a very loose style that she had never tried before.

The story behind this painting is a memory she has when she was much younger and travelled to Paris with her husband.
Even the rainy weather could not diminish the romance that this wonderful city exuded.

Next year, she will be seventy years old and she says that her memories of being in Paris are still as fresh as if it was yesterday.

The romance we felt in our youth never leaves us - it is eternal.
