A Soft Answer Turneth Away Wrath:

Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.

Ever have one of those days where it seems that everywhere you go everyone is grumpy?

Some days it seems like all the grumpy people secretly got together and conspired to be grumpy...

Instead of allowing it to ruin the day I've decided to think of it as an opportunity to practice "a soft answer."

The world sees strength as having muscles, being loud, rude or arrogant.

Real strength is revealed when a person is able to react in a way that isn't like the world.

Proverbs 25:21 If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:

If you don't believe me, try it. It's far more difficult to smile or say a kind word when someone is intent on being rude or seems to be trying to get your goat.

And during those times when you really don't feel strong enough.

Proverbs 17:28 Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.
