My fruit haul today

I'm very lucky to live near a big fresh fruit shop, and one that opens 24 hours a day!
台灣真是水果天堂，一年四季都有各式各樣新鮮水果。我家樓下這家不但種類繁多，還開 24小時，隨時隨地都可以吃鮮甜水果。

Tonight I went out for a walk after dinner and stopped by to get some fruit on the way back. Taiwan is a heaven for fruit lovers, and this place always have all local seasonal fruit in stock. The first thing that caught my eye today were these mangoes. See how massive they are!
比手掌還要大的金煌芒果，不知味道如何，要試試看。鳳梨酥是台灣旅遊必買的伴手禮/手信，新鮮鳳梨更是水果店不能缺少的。現在買的品種是金鑽鳳梨。夏天吃西瓜最涼快，大西瓜真的很大，平常我會買預切的，足夠我倆四天的飯後果。較小的鳳光西瓜未有機會試，要吃的太多，還在排隊。荔枝在台灣也叫玉荷包，非常漂亮的名字。我對荔枝過敏不能吃太多，今年是第一次買。

Taiwan is famous for Pineapple Cakes and is a must buy for all tourist. That's why we have an abundance of different variety of pineapple all year round.

Watermelon stays in season for quite a long time and these gigantic ones cost less than one US dollar per 600gram! Normally I buy a pre cut piece which cost around USD7, that serves around eight portions.

Here's another variety of water melon. They're much smaller than the other one, but I've never tried them before. There's always so much different type of fruits to try that I haven't got round to them yet.

Lychees are a very popular fruit in western countries, at least in UK, but fresh ones aren't very common and expensive when available. This is what they look like fresh if you haven't seen them before. They're in season at the moment and cost USD2.50 per 600gram. Did you see the bunch I bought? I don't how much that cost as I was too busy taking photos.

Here's the last of my purchase today. One of the massive mango which is the first time I've bought it, and another of the normal mango which I always get and is just deliciously good. These, plus the big bunch of lychees cost me USD11. 30 today. I think that's a very good deal!!
