2019 New years eve in Taipei, Taiwan
This year I went to Taipei for the new year's eve countdown. It was a lovely evening with a great atmosphere and it wasn't chocabloc jam packed with people. There was a lot of open space around Taipei 101 where the fireworks display was being held. I managed to grab an unobstructed view of Taipei 101, save for a tree in front of me which I think was a nice addition to the scenery. It's been many years since I've been to a major countdown, and the crowd and atmosphere was great. It was chilly, perfect for the mood, and you could hear the oohs and ahhs from the crowd around me, as well as hubby clicking away on his mobile phone above my head!

Wow, that is impressive. I have never seen a fireworks display that came out of a building before. This year I didn't see any fireworks at all because I went to bed at 10:30 or so because I am a boring person :P
