A bamboo Family Mart convenience store

Convenience stores such as 7-11 and Family Mart are a big part of Taiwanese daily life, from last minute purchases (which aren't that massively more expensive than supermarkets), paying utility bills or parking ticket, topping up your travel card, send and receiving parcels, buying transport or concert tickets, to using their toilet, its a place where every Taiwanese will probably go at least once a week.

The competition for convenience stores are getting greater nowadays and many are starting to spice up their stores to attract customers. That definitely worked for me today when I found a nice Family Mart convenience store. I decided to get some microwave fast food there for dinner. It's the first time I've tried their food, and have to be honest, it was better than I expected

After dinner, I took a video of this store as I figured people around the world may be interested to see why convenience stores are so popular in Taiwan. I found a really interesting drink in the fridge as well. Check out my video to see what it is.

ps, Their toilet was very clean, big bonus point there ^_^
