About Time, DTubeDaily and Promises | Vlog #8 (DTube Exclusive)
Some news today of how I feel about time at the moment, the growth of the DTubeDaily group and two tips what you should be aware of when making promises.
About time
Finally I managed it to get my hair cut again. It was definitely time!
Speaking about time. Since I joined this community I spent nearly every free minute here which means my days are now completely filled from morning until evening.
And that’s why time itself has become one of the most if not the most valuable things to me. But I don’t complain about this as I really enjoy the work here and keep interacting with all of you. It’s good to do something useful with my time.
Growth of DTubeDaily and logo contest
So, our group DTubeDaily is growing every day. We have now 37 people on our Discord server and about 26 of them are constantly posting new content and are also active on the chat.
This Friday, we will also have our second virtual meet-up at 8:00 pm (CET). This time hopefully with up to 25 people which should be most of our active users. I hope you all have fast internet connections ;)
And we have also started a logo creation contest because our group still needs a logo for our channels and some nice looking t-shirts. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you can do in the link below.

Be carful with promises
So, yesterday a potential customer called me and he asked me for an offer but the problem was he would need that offer until tomorrow.
That’s because he promised his customer to work out his offer until the next day and my offer would be a part of his one.
This meant that he made a promise which I had now to redeem. This is not the first time something like this happens to me and i hate it.
So, please people remember two things:
- Don’t make any promises you cannot keep.
- Never make promises which others will have to redeem.
I have the feeling that some people usually do the second one without even recognizing what this means for the other person. In my opinion this is also very selfish.

I Think the first Point is also a Culture thing. In the Netherlands its really important that you keep your promises but here in Sweden they promise all the time things they are not planning to do anyway: really frustrating.
