Police station in Samut Prakan opens a Drive Thru service to pay fines

in #travel5 years ago

The Bang Phli Police Station in Samut Prakan Province is opening a brand new Drive Thru Service for fines imposed by the police. According to the official figures, motorists can pay their fines or fines without having to get out of the car within three minutes and then leave the Drive Thru service to the police.

The police station in Bang Phli has encountered the problem after not having enough space for all its services and offices, as the authorities have to use three different government buildings for their services. There is very often an overload of the police station, especially in the times when several cases are detained and processed in the police station, a police spokesman said.

At that time, Bang Phli police officers had the idea of using the Drive Thru Service to pay for the fines imposed on the road. According to the police, they not only save a lot of space within their authority, but they can also offer road users a fast and efficient service for a simple problem in which the due fines can be paid.

Usually, when paying a fine in Thailand, you must enter the police station to meet the traffic police waiting at their service counter. You then have to give the official the ticket and pay the fine. With this brand new Drive Thru service, you can pay the fine as easily as ordering fast food without having to get out of your car, police said in Bang Phli.

The problem of finding a parking space at the police station and paying for the ticket is solved. Not only the road users in Pattaya know the problem, if they have to find a parking lot in front of the police station on the Beach Road. In Bang Phli, on the other hand, it is now very easy and done in three minutes.

All you have to do is go to the window and give the officer your ticket and the money that was used to pay the fine. The officer then gives you back your driver's license, if he was drafted, and everything is fine again.

Hopefully more police stations in Thailand will soon follow the Bang Phli police station and build their own "transit payment counter".

However, Thai Residents reports, it would be the cheaper and better solution not to offend against a law.
