Camp Cabin #4

That moment when you wake up, and decide to do a quick post on your phone instead of getting out of your nice warm bed. Then you work for an hour and a half. You copy along the way, but because you are copying pictures into the post, you have to recopy the whole thing over, and over again, and then you finish. You remember though at the very end, and select all, but even though you are clicking the word copy does not come up. You think, “ Well maybe it is copying even though there is no word.”.
So then, you figure, “Oh it's going to be ok...”. Those are famous last thoughts, because you click “Post”, and the circle goes round, and round, and round, and finally goes to new posts, and your post is not there. So you click on your Blog, and NOPE, your post isn't there either! So then you try going to your post page, in the hopes that this draft that keeps saving, and popping right up in the way of your typing, will actually still have your draft! But alas, it is gone, and a LOT of time has been wasted, when you are supposed to be headed somewhere else. But now, you have to re-write the post over again...
This leaves one wondering, why in the world, that there is no room in the entire blockchain for a page that your draft is actually saved to, so that you can get back even a partial copy of the post you worked so hard on???
Here we go again, in my word processor this time...
Currently, my favorite Youtube channel is Myselfreliance! It is about this man who is hand building a log home with basic tools! He is doing this practically in real time, and I wait for each installment with bated breath. Honestly, I am so fascinated with his story!
Well even though, as a 53 year old woman, I cannot hoist huge timbers on my shoulders, and walk around with them, I am continuing to go on my own building journey. Of course, until now, I have had some help here, and there, from my sons, and my dear son-in-law. However, yesterday, except calling for a little advice, I was pretty much on my own.
My day started out, getting ready to leave. Most of my things were in the car, and I anticipated on getting a reasonably early start (kind of like I did today...). However, right as I was about to leave, I got a call from my son, who told me that he needed his weedeater, that my husband had borrowed, and the string. I found the weedeater, and loaded it right away, but I searched high and low for the string, and was told by my husband to keep looking for it, because my son really needed it. I searched most of this 4 acres, only to be told, upon calling to confess that I could not find it, that my son already HAD IT!
So I take off to Home Depot to meet my sweet daughter-in-law to give her the weedeater. While at Home Depot, I also purchased 2 treated 2x8x8s for the skids on my little cabin. I loaded them into my Crown Victoria. What did that look like?:

Then I head out to our land. When I arrive, I immediately set to work hoeing a path through the Poison Ivy to the site. I am not very allergic to Poison Ivy. I generally only wear only skirts and dresses. It is not a religious thing per se. It is really a political statement. I started doing that around the time we moved from California to Oklahoma. Anyway, last week, I was wading bare legged through the Poison Ivy, back, and forth. This week, I am a little itchy(a few small spots), so I decided to go ahead, and cut a path, since I will be going back, and forth a lot.
So I hoed a nice path, which was a ways into the forest. At the same time, I also was carrying my gun, and the seat I work on, down the path with me. I would lean the gun against a tree, ho a ways, then go back, and get the gun, and the seat. I did this till I reached my cabin site, then headed back to the car for the level, my hammer, my emergency backpack, and my food. Day Camp:
Next I set about finishing the leveling of the bricks we laid last week. This took quite awhile, as they didn't seem to want to level easily. I am also inexperienced at such things, but eventually I got it done.
After I finished leveling the previous blocks, I began moving the cinderblocks my son had moved closer to the site for me, into place. I had 8 full blocks and two half blocks to move, which sounds easier, than it was for me, at my age, and fitness level. However, I worked hard, and got it done. Here they are laid in place:
Having finally arrived at the property at 2:30 in the afternoon. By the time I got all that done it was getting late. The sun was sinking low in the sky, when I was trying to excavate to level the ground. Then I found this:
Root!
I headed back to the car for the hatchet, thereupon realizing two things. First, I was hungry, having not eaten since breakfast. Secondly, I recognized it was about to get dark, and I still needed to eat, and get everything carried, and loaded to go back home. So I put the root on hold, and whipped out my gasifier stove:

I kid you not that stove heated my food in less than three minutes, faster than my microwave!

Before long I had hot food in my belly, and just in time, as my first pic in this article shows. Hope everyone has a great day!!! I am back to the woods today to deal with THE ROOT!!! This trip will be an overnight adventure, which of course, I will share with you all. May peace fall upon you all, in fall!

Thank you, @royrodgers.
I'm sorry. This thing went nuts on me! The whole post is repeated I don't know how many times here now. I am afraid to touch it! At least it has all the pictures. It's almost like my new one got inserted in the one that disappeared.
Finally, I was let back into this post to repair it! This has been VERY frustrating!
