Tainted Vision (Original Poem)
Unmasked, I discern your vision
Full of woe and folly
Breathless with a venomous tincture
Stained by times gone by
Nothing survives your touch
As you spread your vermin in impetuous contempt
In roots so deep, spreading to the far reaches
Anchoring everything in your wake
Creeping like a viper at its prey
Burning with poisonous passion
You leave no life in your wake
Hiding your teeth at times
To give an illusion of safety
A temporary friendly pause
To the ones gullible enough to believe
Your deadly trap
Parading a deadly smile
The net is cast even wider
Scrapping everything with no regard
The weight buckles your knees
You’re confirmed in your own trickery
The burden is clear for all to see
Crumbling to humility, bent to grace
You accept that you are one of us
If only you had the vision to see it

Good job! I like the line "if you only had the vision to see it". That line applies to so much that touches our lives.
Tell me about it, there is so much we can't see in our perceptive fields. Thank you for your reply.
