IS GIROUD VALUED AT CHELSEA?

Giroud has been a largely unused substitute by Frank Lampard this season. The English man favours the youth of Tammy Abraham and Mitchy Batshuayi to the strength and guise of Olivier Giroud. While i do not fault Frank lampard for keeping faith in the youngsters, i however feel sorry for Olivier Giroud as he is a player i have come to respect and love over the years. His impact in any match is one that most teams would very much value.

The International break has really favoured Giroud and he has scored two goals in France last two matches. He scored the only goal and winner in their match against Iceland, and he also scored the draw in their game against Turkey. Certainly he can live up to the big stages and Frank is certainly not utilising him properly.

Giroud is a player that i followed his progress from Arsenal before his move to Chelsea and he is a man that you can rely on to perform on the big occasions. It was evident last season for Chelsea as we can say he single handedly won them the Europa league, and he also scored in the Super Cup final against Liverpool earlier this season. He is certainly a player i want to see more of as he approaches the twilight of his career. I just want to see him bow out with a bang, and i wouldn't be surprised if he leaves Chelsea in pursuit of regular team football.
