Charitable deeds, let's crowd-fund for kids in Bangladesh, fruits and snacks every week, nr. 66

All liquid SBD from this post will still go to the @SchoolForSDG4 project but the STEEM power will stay in my (@lindahas) account.

I have been feeling much better lately. Still worried for the future but feeling happier. I did watch some videos on youtube on the subject that make sense so I might be influenced by them. The message of these videos? ''Be happy now to stay happy in the future''. So, I am looking after my emotions. Trying to appreciate what I have now instead of focusing on what I do not have... Yet. It helps a lot as I am often sad and down, and quite stressed about things. Really, it is money mostly. Material things are not the most crucial in life but we all have to eat and cover our needs.

So, what am I focusing on now? The dog that I am going to get soon. My Poder. Animals make me happy. They help me be better at taking care of myself. I am also looking forward to my own place. My mom bought it for me now and my brother later when I can stay on my own feet completely. a tiny 26square meters place, but it will be mine and I am looking forward to saving for renovating it.

Here is a recent post from @SchoolForSDG4

20181107-125736.jpg

This week has gone past us like so many others and we have once again landed on the weekly fruit program. The featured fruit this week was apples. And not any apples. These were red, juicy, and sweet. Full of vitamins and amazing flavors! I was captivated by this first photo in my post. I have never noticed this particular boy before. At least not alone. Maybe I have seen him in a group with other kids but not like this.

There is something about this picture. The joy of a child. When I look at it, I remember my own childhood. My problems back then were smaller and my joys bigger. A simple apple could make my day. An egg laid by a chicken and found in an odd place made me so very excited. It was all the things. All the world that made me smile. And there were not many things that made me cry. I had no huge worries. That picture captures the feeling for me. Our innocence while growing up.

As you might know, funds for school bags are being raised. Mohammed (@Azizbd) as already received some donations and my last school supply funding brought in a little bit. A huge thanks to @Ragepeanut who has sponsored 3 bags! A lot of love towards you, the readers, that help out with everything and support the school.

I remember last year when I just started out writing for the school. Then, too, we crowdfunded for new bags and it was a huge success! I am sure that if you dug deep into the @SchoolForSDG4 page, you would be able to find the posts about the amazing bags we got for the little ones.

Onto another topic. The girl in the picture above is Taslima. She was at home for a bit, taking care of her siblings instead of attending school. She has 5 younger brothers and sisters at home so she is the responsible one and had to skip her studies because her mom had found a job and there was no one else to take care of the kids. She would feed and look after them the whole day. Now the mom is returning home because her employer did not give her time to off, to be with the family. Taslima will return back to the school but I can not help but feel frustrated with the employer of this woman. Even if you are getting paid, working without days off is slavery. Unless it is your own choice.

Taslima's younger brother Monju also studies @SchoolForSDG4 but he as well has recently been absent. His hand was broken in an accident, however, so we will be seeing him back at school next to his big sister in no time.

There is some good news that I can also share with you. @Mcfarhat has delegated 200SP to the school that will help the school do better things and earn to help the kids. Al-Amin got his monthly scholarship of $18.75 so he can continue his education. As I have said, this is crucial funds for him and his family as his father does not support the family.

We can do a lot of good when we work together. And for you, it does not has to be in Bangladesh. There are kids all over the world that are struggling and need help. Orphanages, troubled backgrounds, poverty. These kids are our future and it depends on us of what they will become. So, I encourage everyone, myself included, to do something. Teach, love, learn.

If you would like to contribute by making a post, you can contact Mohammed (@azizbd) and he will provide pictures for you. Anyone spreading the word is welcome. The income from the post can be sent to @schoolforsdg4. If you think you deserve Steem for your hard work making a post, keep a bit from the payout. Even a small donation from your posts means a lot to those kids.

If you have any Steem to spare, donations are welcome. @SchoolForSDG4 is where you want to send them.

If you can't spare any Steem, because I know everybody has their lives to live and expenses needed to be covered, a simple upvote is very much appreciated, a resteem is encouraged. :)

Not all funds from this post will go into the school account. The SP will stay on my account so if you want to leave the maximum impact possible, head over to @SchoolForSDG4.

Wishing you an amazing day! Today, tomorrow, and forever.

Happy to help ! I'll try to donate more often. A huge thanks to you too for everything you've done and still do for those kids, you are incredible ! I remember your first post you made on School For SDG4, you posted it around the same time I posted mine, feels like not that long ago and yet it's already been more than a year.

I just noticed that I miss quite a lot of your posts (took me 7 days to see this one), I'll set an autovote tomorrow just to make sure I cast a vote on them while I can !

Oh, thank you! I am just a human, though, nothing amazingly incredible :D

It has been so long, really, hasn't it? It doesn't seem so at all but it is true and when I look back I feel like I started doing this this summer and not the last. I am so excited, though. Because my next year I must go to Bangladesh. I simply must! I really want to see the kids and teach them something. Anything.

I am also still hoping we can make it happen and build the school for the little ones. If not now then sometime. The marker has to pick up!

Thank you for dropping by! :)
