Amazing Adjustments That Have Happened To My Life Since I found Steemit

It's been just less than a week since I decided to join Steemit. Writing wasn't really my forte and I also do not have the best camera phone to take gorgeous photos -- which made me think at first, "Who would even bother reading my posts online?" Sooo.. I made up excuses to my Steemit friends, told them that I've got no time for composing lengthy articles or to even telling myself that my internet connection was just too shaggy to even start my introductory post.. lol!

A couple of months went by, my work friends who were active Steemians, (@smb14, @shote.said and @gcaynila), planned a get together before starting the New Year. I almost didn't make it since t'was my cousin's bday dinner at the same time. However, everyone came so I decided to show up late at our little gathering.

Showing up that night was the best decision I've made so far beginning 2018. (No joke!) I gave myself a chance to hear out my Steemit friends and be open-minded to the possibilities of joining Steemit and what comes with it. Without further ado, I immediately joined Steemit the next day and found myself composing my first post. Here's my first post:

I didn't expect much after posting my intro but turns out everyone on Steemit was just so supportive and welcoming! Thanks to @smb14, @shote.said, @gcaynila and @mickzzz for bringing me to Steemit. Special thanks to @surpassinggoggle for hosting this contest and inspiring me to be more engaged and active in this platform.

Steemit exposed me to a wider horizon and my online network became larger. Gave me an opportunity to gain lots of new friends locally and internationally. It's gives you a humbling feeling when you know that there's a bigger world out there.

Steemit also gave me an opportunity to learn about cryptocurrencies. I still have a lot to learn though but now I'm considering into making investments online.

Steemit gave me self-confidence. I didn't realize what I could write not until I joined Steemit. I initially thought I will run out of ideas but actually it's the total opposite! From time to time, an idea pops up in my head, then I get giddy to create my blog asap! Not only did Steemit help me train myself to become better in writing but it also taught me to read more and be more open to ideas other than mine.

Overall, my journey with STEEMIT has been exceptional so far. Haven't tried my first pay out yet so when it comes, I might wanna use some of it to top up my car's insurance policy (crossing fingers!!!) However, the most important is thing is that I'm learning and at the same time, I'm having fun! Thank you STEEMIT!
