How to Order Water in ACAPULCO Mexico
I've mentioned this process before but have never shown any of it or described it in detail. This is how water is delivered to houses in much of Mexico, more commonly in the hills here in Acapulco than down by the coast where there's city provided water just like in the states.
To get water to my house I've gotta call a guy, which this time the guy we usually use who charges 600 pesos and has dreadlocks wasn't answering his phone. We sent out feelers for more options and ended the day with three new numbers although they cost more. We've heard a range from 400-1000 pesos depending on how nice the area is for the same truck supposedly 10,000 liters.
They haul it up my hill then we pull a long green hose off the top and put it in the water reservoir. Pay the guy and off he goes.
This post happened because it was a long day of waiting and I was really excited he'd showed up.
