Carnivore Adventures:A Good Start and a Peanut Allergy

This is a shot of my breakfast today, which was bacon cooked on the George Foreman grill and ground beef and egg Scramble.

I was feeling pretty rough yesterday but had a good start to today. I made the mistake of tasting some peanut butter cup filling I was making for someone and found out I have a peanut allergy, which isn't surprising and is likely an allergy I've given myself from eating ridiculous amounts of peanut butter in my life. Rashes, stomach pain and terrible headache only helped with aspirin, water and bacon.

I don't feel as good as I did at the start of the day but I feel better now than I did after some bone broth.

What would you do for fiber in this kind of diet? How have you been feeling overall since you started?

The idea of the carnivore diet is to do no fiber. I find when I have even small amounts of fiber in like dried dates I have digestive issues but if I keep it to meat and fat I'm fine.

I've been feeling good but in a way the fact that I only feel good when I eat only meat is somewhat depressing. Food is entertainment and damn good entertainment at that so resisting all the things I used to love is hard. I keep trying things like chocolates and such in small amounts which leaves me feeling crappy for days after. Generally when I'm feeling crappy the only thing that helps is bone broth or bacon.

Hrmm...Very interesting, I know sugar can be really bad for you breaking the addiction to sugar can be pretty difficult. Things like candida can thrive with a lot of sugar. Very interested in seeing your long term results with this diet. I remember reading you were vegan for quite a while, but have started this journey to help with some of your health issues. Have you been buying from a local farmer?

I was vegetarian but never vegan. I've honestly never considered going fully vegan.

We buy the majority of our meat either from the Walmart or the central market both of which get the majority of their meat from local sources. We're working on tracking down our own personal sources.

Ahh my bad, I got that mixed up, cool! I started buying some from a couple buddies that have got into raising lamb and beef all grass fed. I'd like to maybe start with some livestock in addition to chicken and tilapia in my aquaponics system. Thinking about starting with getting some pigs and goats.

Weve nearly gotten goats repeatedly, pigs are in our future too but we just don't currently have a property setup to handle them lol

Wicked! Gotta find your Anarchupulco Acreage :)

An allergic response to peanuts sometimes happens among minutes once exposure. Peanut allergic reaction signs and symptoms will include: fluid nose. Skin reactions, equivalent to hives, redness or swelling.

Yep. Sounds familiar.
