Adventures into Mexican Markets: Imported Krispy Kreme Guy
Here's a bit of a silly one. Every Thursday this guy drives a car stuffed with Krispy Kreme dougnuts from Mexico City to sell out of his car in Acapulco for the ridiculous price of 120 pesos for a half dozen of your choice. You got to choose from packages of pre-picked donuts. Despite the cost it was worth it, easily better than what you find here in Acapulco.
Donuts just aren't as good here for some reason, so it makes sense that this guy finds it worth it to make the trip every week. This is the first time we bought any.
Kudos to you guy, for seeing a good opportunity and taking it!

I've bought donuts from him at least twice. Usually I see him on my way to dinner somewhere else, though, so I don't want to lug a box of donuts around all evening. Thoroughly enjoyed them when I got them, though.
Love his entrepreneurial spirit! Find a need and fill it...
Now, if only he'd start bringing coffee... Enjoy your treats!
There's plenty of coffee here, the truck around the corner has that covered.
It's like smuggling drugs but with much less danger.
Oh.. those Krispy Kreme doughnuts are the best! We've got the home of em here in FL. We can go through a dozen before they cool off..lol. I sure hope you get the opportunity to enjoy them again!
Krispy Kreme needs to be one of those stores that survives the collapse. Dunkin' can't compare. D:

They are VERY good. They also have "El Globo" in Mexico that makes great doughnuts... unfortunately not in Acapulco yet :/
