ALL FOR NOTHING!!

Once upon a time in life lived a hunter whose wealth were his job, his little hut in the forest, his dog and his daughter.

  • His job meant his strength,
  • His hut meant his legacy,
  • His dog meant his possession and his daughter meant his late wife's living portrait.

These four meant his life's summary but his life depended on his daughter!

NOW THE STORY:

He went out to work. An escapee lion in order to make him quit the forest came to destroy his joy... his life's best... his daughter. The dog realized, just on time the lion's plan and got ready to confront the lion even when it knew it truly were no match by all standards!

But for its master, it would do anything.... even if it meant death... if at its death moments, it could get the Master's praise then it would be well worth the work.

It defended the baby, fought like a gallant soldier whose life depended not on his living but on the security of his country or an activist whose existence depended not on his fame but name of the oppressed.

But of course it was defeated, and the lion on realizing that the hunter was close, ran out for fear of death by his gun, leaving the dog practically dead, with blood stains everywhere.

The dog hung on to life just for the gratefulness it knew it would see in its Master's eyes; on seeing the master, though weak wagged its tail and looking up at the master for the last time expecting the last pat...got the shocker, its master eyes were darkened by anger and before it could use its animal communication skills, its master had screamed... ''You ungrateful being, how dare you kill my baby?" Before it could explain itself (of course not in human words) its master shot him times too many to count! It still kept looking at the master, perhaps, he would change his mind.

Finally, its death was ALL FOR NOTHING ; not even the pat!

CONCLUSION OF THE STORY :

Not long, the baby regaining consciousness cried from the dog's bed where the dog had covered it up so the lion wouldn't access it.

The hunter realized just too late what bad he'd done, more so because he would never be able to say, "THANK YOU", let alone, "I'M SORRY".
He realized that he was the UNGRATEFUL ONE!

CHRIST DIED FOR US BUT CAN WE TRULY BEAT OUR CHESTS AND EACH SAY: MY LIFESTYLE IS A DAILY REFLECTION OF MY GRATEFULNESS TO CHRIST FOR ACCEPTING TO DIE FOR ME?

_Don't make Christ's death be ALL FOR NOTHING!!
