I fell on Black Days - RIP Chris Cornell
This morning I got shocked with the recent disappearance of a unique voice in rock music!! Chris Cornell passed away and I feel this is a big loss for all of us.
He was one of the founders of the grunge moment in Seattle in the 90's, and man, HE WAS GOOD!!
Although today we are having a shiny day I see it black. My heart is feeling sad.
He formed Soundgarden in 1984 with lead guitarist Kim Thayil and bassist Hiro Yamamoto, which became known for their Grammy Award-winning singles Black Hole Sun and Spoonman.
Here are other great music by Soundgarden
- Fell On Black Days
- Blow Up The Outside World
'Nothing seem to kill me no matter how hard I try
Nothing is closing my eyes
Nothing can beat me down for your pain or delight
And nothing seems to break me
No matter how hard I fall nothing can break me at all
Not one for giving up though not invincible I know'
... not anymore :(
Soundgarden broke up in 1997 to reform again in 2010.
Meanwhile, among solo albums, he formed Audioslave with the former Rage Against the Machine members Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk. I was lucky to watch its first concert in Portugal em 2003 Super Bock Super Rock festival.
I enjoyed it so much...it was crazy!
Temple Of The Dog - Hunger Strike
This might be the best grunge albums of all time!! Eddie Vedder + Chris Cornell doing their magic!!
More great stuff to remember a great talent. Excellent post! Wonderful to see someone else share his work. Resteemin this for sure. I'll be playin the 90's tune all day.
Thanks!! I'm listening too, mostly Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog and Stone Temple Pilots...I'm a great fan of this 90's music!

A sad loss of a great talent to the world..
I understood that his death is being investigated as a possible suicide!!!
:( Hope it's not another suicide story...
I Read this few minutes ago
"We are moving in the direction of a possible suicide but we are waiting on the Medical Examiner's Office to provide their report,"

That's the first I've heard of this. That's a real bummer.
Sorry, I don't like to bring bad news. It's really a bummer, I'm still stunned!!
Omg, I can't belive it! It's so sad! :(
Yes it is!!
I was driving this morning and happy to hear Soundgarden on the radio (it's not common) then suddenly the news of his death!! I wanted to pull the breaks and scream "Why!? No!" Arghh, too soon, his was only two years younger than my mother....
:( It's heartbreaking ...it was one of my favorite artist
Never herd of him.
When Kurt Cobain died I have never heard of him before. Chris Cornell music is timeless, so you have plenty of time! ;)
Here's another great one!! SOOO GOOOD!!
(Doing a tribute day to its music)
