Lake Naroch - "Belarusian sea"

Lake Naroch be in Modelscom district of Belarus, Minsk region and is the center of Narochansky national Park. Although throughout NAT. the Park has about 40 lakes, but, nevertheless, the largest lake is Naroch it.

Moreover, it is not only the biggest and the cleanest among all the lakes of the Republic. The lake water is so transparent that even at a depth of 8 metres is clearly visible sandy bottom. The area of the reservoir is very large (80 sq km) that when there is the slightest fog in cloudy weather does not really consider the opposite shore. The coastline is 41 km, and its width is about 10 km, the biggest depth of the lake reaches 25 meters, average is 9 meters.

Its large size of the lake ensures and earned his second name "Belarusian sea", and the Belarusians fondly call this place the "Pearl of Belarus".

It would seem that this picturesque place was created by nature specifically for the resort. It was here, along the South Bank of the Naroch lake, lies the resort village, consisting of: cosy sanatoriums, resorts and children's camps for rehabilitation of children. All the territory of the Narochansky Park is considered the best resort in the whole Republic of Belarus. The best place to stay is not found.

The lake is very rich in natural resources, which contribute to proper rest and treatment of the body. Owing to its recreational and balneological value, it is considered a unique body of water.

In the waters Naroch there are 25 different species of fish here you can catch: bass, bream, Amur carp, pike etc. Naroch was always famous for its fish stocks. Many people survived only because of good catches. Especially in the nineteenth century, when the population of Vilnius province in the lean years golodovalo, and in the meantime, residents of coastal villages were saved from starvation fish from the lake.

But fish abundance in the lake is not limited to, hunting enthusiasts, too, have a place to roam. On the shores of the lake you can shoot capercaillie and black grouse, in the forests you can hunt for deer, elks, roes and wild boars. Also here you can see rare for the Republic of Belarus of birds: small grebes, small terns and a magnificent mute swans.

Swans are admired for their gracefulness and grandeur. For their smooth movement in the water you can watch endlessly.
