Amarilis

I'm not keen on collecting amaryllis collections, I only have three colors for them and that's enough for me.
That these plants bloom every year, they need to be cared for. And to me, frankly, too lazy to fiddle with bulbs every time. A year and miss, then the amaryllis blossom late, almost in the summer.
If you spend good care, then the amaryllis begin to bloom in early February, and sometimes earlier.

Flowering is not long, but if there are many specimens, you can create a beautiful flowering composition.
Now there are so many varieties that you can choose not only by the colors, but also by the shape and size of the flower.
After the plant fades, I usually plant the bulb in the open ground. Thus, she grows up a lot of weight, and sometimes gives a baby.
Then the bulbs are excavated, usually at the end of September and dry until the green mass completely dries.
Then I cut the roots, leave about a centimeter at the base of the bulb and plant it in a flower pot. A month later there are floral arrows.

If you deplete the bulb and do not send the plant to rest, then it may not bloom the next year.
So, in order to have beauty in your home, you still have to try.
Amaryllis reproduce by dividing bulbs, but this phenomenon happens very rarely. This is for you neither Hypiastrums.
