Darkness

My body aches today, beaten by a mind that

whispers of a need to escape for awhile. I

know where my solace lies and the thought

haunts me....the aura of specters floating

through me.

 

Tripping the dim light phantasm. Consumed

by the thought of rejoining the soulless just one

more time. The space between reality and sunset

shrink to a needle point of focused agony. Don't

know what I'm going to do with this feeling inside.

 

The caves of the street beckons me with dragon songs.

The ethereal harmonies dance upon my soul to enrapture

and embrace. Lord, where is my sword to do battle?

Am I lost or am I forgotten by what I am? I see a glimmer

of light from the darkness within.
