My Actifit Report Card: December 7 2020

My son and I and one other friend played a eighteen hole disc golf round at our favorite course. Our friend was a bit tired from having played three rounds at the pro course the day before. My son and I played there too but only for one round. I'm usually ready to go home after doing one round there because it is a very tough and long course.

Our friend managed to beat both of us today. I had a +3 score that was about average for me. My son did slightly worse than that.

We did get back two discs from someone who had wadded into the river on the sand bank and retrieved them. I got my lost Sword disc back and my son got a PD3 disc. It was really wonderful to get them back.

The Sword disc is showing a bit of wear but I do like the look. It has a "been around the block," kind of broken in look to it. You can see the burst color in the plastic really nicely. It flys about the same although it has a kind of spongy waterlogged feel to it, LOL.

Now I have a new lightweight 164 gram Sword and a 175 gram one. They actually fly pretty similar because the 175 gram one is really beat in. I almost threw my newly recovered old Sword disc on hole 15, where I lost it before, but my son thought that was a really bad idea. (Oh well, maybe next time.)

It was pizza night tonight with some wonderful homemade pizza:

Our friend gave me the Axiom Crave disc yesterday when we all played the pro course. He found it and the original owner did not want it back so he gave it to me because it was too flippy for him to throw.

I've only thrown it a few times but I really like it so far. It flys nice an straight with just a little bit of turn with my arm speed, on the types of throws that I typically use these speed 6.5 discs for.

In other news, the old carpeting is going bye, bye this year and getting replaced with some laminate flooring. Several years of Doggie parts one, two and three have been doing a number on the carpeting.

It is going to be an early Christmas this year as we need to get things ready for the big flooring change. Everything has to get moved out of the way for a few days.

I found the perfect vehicle for me this morning as I was reading the "paper." (E-paper as provided by Google.) It is a three wheeled vehicle that has solar panels and a big battery. It sounds like it should have a thousand mile range. It looks pretty cool with some futuristic styling and swing open doors. It is a two seater roadster kind of design that never needs to get plugged in.

With any luck, if it is built well, it won't need much of any type of maintanence. Perfect for scooting around town to the local (and not so local,) disc golf courses.
