The Mountain in Peru

Auzangate is a mountain, 6,800 meters above sea level. His name comes from the god of the corn and the god of the Shamans (in ancient Quechua). It is an holy mountain to the locals. Only a few, the strongest Shamans, can go up to this mountain to pray for the gods. My Peruvian friend, who is a local tour guide, Alejandro, and I hiked this powerful area for the last few days. It was a journey in the wildest nature between lonely Peruvian mountains' tribes. A journey that can be allowed only with the blessing and allowance of the nature, and the god of this area- Ausangate. We received the blessing of the mountain to explore it: In the first morning under the mountain, we woke up to a snow storm, which could make this journey impossible. We respected the weather and took the time slowly in the near-by hot springs. After 10 minutes there was a wonder. The heavy snowy sky had cleared and small pieces of blue sky were discovered. The mountain accepted our journey and exposed his full beautiful body to the light of the sun. It was breathtaking... In the third day I discovered the Indian Rose (Andina Rosa) under a random rock. It is a very rare and holy flower, which is discovered only to a very few. It discover is a sign for luck in an important life journey. This story is a sign, another sign for us to take it easy, always, and surrender. Surrender to the world, surrender to the moment. To accept the now and to open our senses and the inner eye for the signs and the omens of the world, or in Quechua - Pachamama, to show you the way, the way to your personal legend.
