If Purest Sunlight Can Be Made Into A Sound, This Is The Sound It Makes.

Lots of the music that I listen to , is full of jingle jangle and crunch
and sounds as if it might have been recorded in a banged up and rusty steel barrel,
there a madman with a hammer, trying to get out.

Sometimes though, I need to feel the peace,
the peace that is said to pass understanding.
When it is this for which I'm searching, I love to listen to Cara Dillon.
I can feel it right now as my heart fills to bursting
with the emotion brought to her music with her voice.

If my normal fare sounds corroded and broken,
then this is the polar opposite, if that can be said of sounds.

The sound she makes is as the clearest crystal resting on the finest silk,
stuffed with down from the goose that lays the golden egg.

Usually, experience of the intensity of joy like the purest sunshine
in the air of the alpine mountaintop is not in my wheelhouse,
but sometimes we all need desperately to recharge our ability
to meet the often painful drudgery that we find in the world.

Airy, light, and brilliantly sparkling,
as though all of the wee folk in Ireland lent their magic to the sound.
An ethereal sound from the emerald land.
Like nothing else I've ever known.

This is one of my favorites, even with the rather maudlin subject matter.
