Everyday is a new day. Its unnecessary to wait for something big to make a good change about your life, I'm talking about your new year's resolution. We're almost in the middle of the year and if you haven't cross anything off of your resolution list, that's okay! It's perfectly fine and its never too late to catch up.

No need to wait for new year, or birthday. Start today! Even more, right now! One of the most common new year resolution is living a healthy life. It doesn't have to be something big. Start small but keep the consistency. It will be a lot more useful than a big sudden change that happen only once in a while.

So here are some healthy tips that are easy to follow, you can even do it now!


Water, water, water!

Most of us don't drink enough water everyday, even though it is essential for our body to function. Quick fact about water, we are made up of 60% water! It is needed to carry out body functions, to remove waste, carry nutrients and oxygen around our body. it so important that we should replenish our water intake

Drinking enough water also helps you lose weight. But this doesn't mean you can burn fat by drinking water. Drinking enough water helps you fill your stomach and stop you from overeating.

The amount of water you need varies depends on your age, weight, surrounding humidity, and physical activity. 8 glass per day used to be a common recommendation, but now, it really is depends on the previous variables. How to tell if you need water is if you have dry lips, dry mouth, or little urination. But don't wait too long once you get those sign, get yourself hydrated! Sleep Is (Not) For The Weak

We tend to compensate by eating more when we don't get enough sleep. especially junk food. Get your time management right so you don't have to stay up late to do your work, and staying awake by eating junk food.

Besides helping you gain unwanted weight, lack of sleep also causes premature aging. And you surely don't want those two.

But don't use this as an excuse to sleep all day. Getting too much sleep also reduce your energy and actually making you feeling more tired when you wake up.  So get a hold of yourself and manage your time well


Improve Your Posture

Are you slouching now? If yes, get up and sit straight! Besides making you look more smart and attractive, having a good posture also brings you benefits.

It facilitates breathing, it enables you breath properly. It affects the amount of air you inhaled. This is most likely one of the reason why yoga, pilates and meditation exercise pay so much attention on getting your posture right.

It is followed by the next benefit, which is increasing your concentration. It is stated that our brain needs 20% of our body's oxygen to do it's job properly. So it actually affects each other, sitting properly gives you good posture, good posture gives you more air, more air means more oxygen, more oxygen means more brain fuel, and leading to more thoughts and ideas.


Those are 3 small steps to get a healthier life. Simple, I know. But people tend to belittle the small things. But shouldn't it easy to do since its just small things?
