Here is my newest contribution to colorchallenge mondayred by @kalemandra. Today I show you a poster with a red inscription on a Litfassssäule " Far from the eye, eternally close to the heart - Litfassssäule born: Promoting pilar from 1854- 2019 Berlin "
It is a very emotional topic because the Germans like their Litfassssäulen in the cityscape and now it should disappear/ get changed into new ones . The dismanteling is mostly delicate: In the interior of some advertising pillars Eternit is built in, with light asbestos admixtures. A spokesman explains that an asbestos content of up to five percent is possible. The advertising pillars would therefore be dismantled under protective clothing and specially disposed of in Schöneiche (Oder Spree). Every day around 20 Litfasssäulen disappear from the cityscape.
New ones are to be rebuilt in other places and they will bring more money to the Berlin Senate.

How sad to tear sown something so special. Our community took down a historic community building and kicked the senior center out to make way for expansion of their elite run theater. It breaks the heart when those things happen. thanks for sharing. @lichtblick
