father's hajj badal sertificate

Because last night I fell asleep faster than usual, so I also woke up earlier. Even the alarm on the cellphone hasn't sounded yet. Around 5 in the morning. I got up and cleaned myself. Then I sat in the television room and opened my steemit account. There were several notifications that came in, I answered them one by one. After that, I made a post on Steemit.

When I was about to start, the morning call to prayer sounded and I went to perform ablution and after that carry out my obligations. Hamzah and Afiza were fast asleep. They were also tired because the journey this afternoon was quite far. After praying, my mother gave me a package which she said was a Hajj travel gift given to my late father. Yes, some time ago we went to celebrate my father's Hajj which he had not had the chance to do in his lifetime. We were given certificates, Hajj posters, as well as headscarves and prayer mats.

Teri Medan fried rice

Then I went to the kitchen and made breakfast. Usually mother always prepares breakfast, her fried rice has the best taste. However, she was sick and with whatever strength she had, she also scrubbed my youngest brother's clothes which were in a modern Islamic boarding school. Finally, I made fried rice with the addition of Medan anchovies. I also made hot tea for mother. I really enjoyed my breakfast this morning with great gratitude.

harvesting kale from the yard

My mother's yard is filled with green kale which is also very fresh. It just grows wild but is very fertile. The stems are large and this is a type of white kale that is cooked as a kale menu in restaurants. Finally I took scissors and picked this kale while waiting for the traveling fishmonger to come. The weather this afternoon was quite sunny, causing the kale that I had just harvested to wilt immediately. Even so, I picked and picked until I didn't realize my basket was full of fresh kale.

I also picked some chilies that also grow in the yard. Then I brought it to make "Cah Kangkung" for today's lunch menu. I really enjoy cooking produce from my own garden. I sliced all the ingredients such as tomatoes, shallots, garlic, green chilies, ginger and also fried the shrimp paste. Cah kangkung is not complete without adding shrimp paste to it.

Cooking it doesn't take long either. There is people said that Cah kangkung is not suitable to be eaten too much because it has a drowsy effect. I also made anchovy sambalado with additional petai. My mother is a pete lover and she really liked my cooking this afternoon. I'm happy because finally her appetite is much better. She is preparing to leave for Umrah, hopefully she will be healthy and strong there.

with Hamzah at grandmother's house

In the afternoon, before I went home in the afternoon to my house, I went to my grandmother's house which is next to my mother's house to chat. My grandmother is like my real mother. She is very old but still productive, every day she takes care of his plants. She really wanted to go for a walk, she said, but because of his current condition, she has cataracts and frequent back pain, making it difficult for him to move.

There is a pomegranate tree with red seeds right in front of me. I immediately took the pole and plucked it. My grandmother said that they got bored of eating pomegranates and every morning her yard was always filled with these pomegranates. Children really like this pomegranate, especially when made into juice, yummyyy... After collecting a few fruits, I finally gave up, the sun was so hot it made my face feel like it was burning.

harvesting butterfly pea flowers and also flower seeds to take home later

Time seems to run awaychasing me. I had just sat down then it was getting late. I want to bring home some of the plants in my mother's yard to my house. I picked flower seeds of several types of flowers. There are telang flowers, this is a type of plant that can be eaten directly. I went inside then prepared everything I needed to go home. It feels like it's only been an hour, even though I arrived here yesterday afternoon. Time oh time... I called Afizia and then we got ready to go home.

taking photos with family in hometown

I was waiting for my mother to come home from Manasik. This is the last day before departure to the holy land. I pray Asr first and then take all my equipment out of the house so that I don't forget anything later. Me, Hamzah and Afiza had the misfortune of going home. I sat in front of the house accompanied by my younger cousins and grandmother. Seeing the cloudy weather suddenly seemed like rain was going to fall.

Not long after, my mother finally came home. I said goodbye to her, but it turned out she wanted to buy a prayer mat at DYL. Dayah Living is near my house. I finally went home with my mother using their respective vehicles. And Afiza went up together with my mother. At DYL we bought the prayer mat that mother expected and then we went home.

went to Dayah Living to buy prayer mats

After arriving home, I waited for my mother to tell me whether she had arrived home or not. After Maghrib prayers, my mother informed me that she had arrived home safely. After that I went to have dinner together. I couldn't bring myself to cook dinner, so it was just fried rice with another omelet.

I am grateful that I have spent this day with lots of activities. Time seemed very short. Maybe I will return home next Wednesday if there is no change in the schedule from the travel team. I then went to my room and lay down my body which felt very tired and rested after the long journey.

It's nice to see how you spent quality time with your family, enjoying the fruits of your garden and preparing delicious dishes. Your dedication towards your mother and the memory of your father through the gift of Hajj badal is truly touching.

There are things that can't be expressed in words, sometimes it's like the moment of satisfaction of seeing someone's face... My mother is alone now, and she must be very lonely.
Thank you for your valuable comments... Best wishes to you always... 👍☺
