First Drawings with Wacom Intuos // A fish is talking art #5

After my tiresome experiences in drawing digitally with my mouse I felt more and more compelled to buy a graphic tablet, which I did last year.

And so a new era began (not really):

Red Riding Hood

I remember installing the driver and instantly sketching around (Photoshop CS6), with my first real drawing looking somewhat like this (but without the tree in the front):

My sister told me its looking horrible. I was offended and had to prove to her that my drawing had the potential to turn into something cool.

The process:

Approx. 10-15 hours of work. I used inspo google photos of forests for reference.

I call it "what big fucking eyes you have". :D

My second drawing was this one and I dislike how it turned out (drew it from imagination) but I decided to share regardless.

If you dont own a graphic tablet but a normal tablet I recommend the Sketch app and Sketch Express. I made a video on this (May 2015):

Graphic tablets are very practical tools not only in the artistic world, but also in the working environment. It comes in handy when working on technical drawings, designs and sketches of models. I have used mine multiple times in my academic career and can ensure you, that it´s a great investment.

I own the Wacom Intuos Draw but I´m already saving up some money for the Cintiq one lol
