Pollen basket(3 photos) ~ Own work Macro
When a bee visits flowers of plants, a large amount of pollen grains adhere to its body.
In order not to lose the pollen and transfer it to the hive, the bee uses a basket of pollen and folds it in the form of small lumps in the hind legs of the shins. The bee glues individual grains of pollen with the secret of their salivary glands.
The pollen basket is part of the tibia on the hind legs.

That's interesting -I didn't know about the secret of their salivary glands. Cool.
I worked with bees once doing manual labor. Ah, it was nice doing something different.
Ever since then, I've had a better appreciation for BEES and their byproducts! Today I use royal jelly for improved energy.
I did enjoy your pictures - they are "in focus". Good work
Thank you very much for your words @janashby
