RE: 2018 Season Preview: AL CENTRAL
I have a bold prediction that Cleveland wins 100 and not one of the other teams tops 75. It's not necessarily that I think Cleveland is as good of a team to be in the 100 win class, as you're absolutely right when it comes to their injury prone staff, but I just think the division is abysmal.
Minnesota was lucky last year with Ervin Santana coming out of nowhere...who's going to pick up his slack, as most certainly he'll regress this year, let alone coming out of the gate injured. Phil Hughes anyone? I also don't believe in Berrios. Look at his second half numbers and you'll see why. With the Polanco suspension, not to mention Sano having problems of his own, the team sits ill suited to build on the momentum from last year.
I am excited about the White Sox however. Maybe not this year, but they have a nice core group of players, and I think Rodon is going to make a positive impact. When I say no team will reach 75 besides Cleveland, I think Chicago will win 74.
In regards to KC and Detroit, well, I'm glad neither are my team. My heart, however, goes out to all you Royals fans. What a terrible way for an organization to treat their fans. Not selling last year was simply a pipe dream. Hey, at least you got one World Series out of it.
Welcome to Steemit! We'll check back after the season and see where we ended up! My predictions coming soon.
