Youtube Play Button for Demonetization - LMSAT

This is why I’ve joined Steemit and have been posting content over here now too.

So as you may or may not know, Youtube started demonetizing channels due to advertisers threatening to pull ad dollars. Basically some assholes put out shitty content and it ended up punishing everybody. Hey, I can swear now that I’m demonetized already.

My channel got the cut even though I’ve been monetized for the last two years, since I barely didn’t meet their new requirements of over 1,000 subs (I have) and 4,000 view hours in the last 12 months (I have just under 3,000).

It sucks, but I was never into this for material gain or to become famous, I just want to share my knowledge and inspire creativity with you guys. However, I was hoping to get a little bit of a kickback to help pay for supplies and cover some expensive involved with making these videos.

I’m also worried that if my channel isn’t monetized anymore, the youtube algorithm will have no incentive to show my content over a monetized channel, because they aren’t receiving any ad revenue from it. So it will become nearly impossible for smaller channels to get their content viewed.

I may stop posting to youtube, or I might put a penny per view in this box and if it fills up before I’m able to remonetize my channel just call it quits.

In the meantime, if you want to help my channel the biggest things you can do are comment, like and dislike and share my videos on your social networks if you think they are helpful.
